On September 19, the National Energy Administration (NEA) released national power industry statistics from January to August. As of the end of August, installed capacity of the country's cumulative was about 2.76 billion kilowatts, up 11.9% year-on-year. Among them, the installed capacity of solar power generation was about 510 million kilowatts, up 44.4% year-on-year; the installed capacity of wind power was about 400 million kilowatts, up 14.8% year-on-year.

From January to August, the cumulative average utilization of the national power generation equipment 2423 hours, 76 hours less than the same period last year. Among them, hydro-power utilization period was 1984 hours, 469 hours less than the same period last year; solar power utilization period was 907 hours, 40 hours less than the same period last year; nuclear power utilization period was 5116 hours, 121 hours more than the same period last year; wind power utilization period was 1538 hours, 79 hours more than the same period last year; thermal power utilization period was 2999 hours, 67 hours more than the same period last year.

From January to August, the country's major power generation enterprises power project completed investment of 470.3 billion yuan, an increase of 46.6%. Among them, solar power utilization period was 187.3 billion yuan, up 82.7%; nuclear power utilization period was 52.2 billion yuan, up 56.9%; wind power utilization period was 114.9 billion yuan, up 38.7%.
